Originally from Shreveport, LA, Brody Parrish Craig (they/them) is an award-winning author and editor dedicated to amplifying the voices of TGNC+ creators. They are the author of the chapbook Boyish and the editor of TWANG, a regional anthology highlighting the work of transgender and gender non-conforming artists from the South and Midwest. Tiffany L. Pennywell, a Northwest Louisiana native, is the artist behind Ebonpinion Studio, known for their whimsigoth mixed-media art, emotionally charged poetry, and striking nature photography. Inspired by the supernatural and gothic themes of their childhood, Tiffany weaves elements of light and darkness into their work. Their creative journey began with a love for color and detail in drawing, later expanding into writing, photography, and dance. Edi Kí (he/him) is a trans-male singer-songwriter from Shreveport, LA, using his music to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community. His powerful songs tackle difficult issues such as suicide and gun violence, sparking important conversations and fostering healing. Edi’s work is a blend of personal expression and a call for a more compassionate world, aiming to inspire change and raise awareness.
Kataclysmic Kreations
Kataclysmic Kreations is the creative work of Kat Correro (she/they), our very own Technology Officer and Political/Communications Chair. Based in Shreveport, Kat is known for their vibrant abstract acrylic paintings that often explore cosmic themes. Describing themselves as a “spunky hippie with too many thoughts,” Kat channels their creativity into both visual art and design. Lauren McKinney is a queer artist whose bold, textured acrylic paintings are rooted in emotion, identity, and lived experience. Her work explores womanhood through a feminine lens, balancing strength, vulnerability, and self-expression to create pieces that are meant to be felt as much as they are seen. Through her art, Lauren invites connection, reflection, and conversation, centering the power of authentic storytelling. She is part of a creative partnership with her wife, fellow artist Peyton McKinney, and together they are passionate about uplifting and supporting the queer community. Peyton McKinney is a 27-year-old nonbinary artist based in Shreveport, Louisiana, where they live and create alongside their wife, Lauren. Their artistic journey began at Caddo Magnet High School, where an early introduction to painting sparked a lasting dedication to the visual arts. Working across acrylic, chalk pastel, and the textured medium of pyrography, Peyton’s practice embraces versatility and resists confinement to a single form. Their work reflects a fluid and evolving spectrum, mirroring the expansiveness of their identity, and explores themes of transformation, emotion, and self-expression. Through each piece, Peyton invites viewers into a space where boundaries soften and creativity takes on many forms.
