2024
We're back!
PACE is thrilled to announce that our Pride in the Park Family Festival will return! Join us at Columbia Park on April 27, 2024 from 11:00-3:00. Thousands attended our last Pride in the Park, and we invite everyone to join us again as we proudly celebrate the lives of Northwest Louisiana’s LGBTQ+ community!
There will be food trucks on hand, various community booths to visit, vendors, entertainment, and much more!
Families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to settle in for a festive afternoon. Well-behaved pets on leashes are also welcome. There is no entry fee.
There are always questions as to why we celebrate PRIDE. For years, being LGBTQ+ or having an LGBTQ+ family member was something people didn’t talk about. Or if they did, they did it in hushed tones. This meant the only voices that people heard were the ones completely distorting and misrepresenting the lives of LGBTQ+ people.
This is happening again as those loud voices are trying to make LGBTQ+ people invisible so that the truth of their actual lives remains hidden. Sadly, too many LGBTQ+ people still face daily senseless discrimination yet strive, just like everyone else, to lead meaningful productive lives. Now that is something to be proud of! So we invite all who will celebrate the actual lives of the LGBTQ+ community to join us in April at Pride in the Park.

We want to extend a huge thank you to our Pride in the Park 2024 sponsor, Geaux Talk! Thanks to their generous support, our children's area at this year's event is going to be even more amazing!
Geaux Talk, created by the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI), is doing incredible work to empower Louisianans and improve the health outcomes of our communities. Their campaign focuses on incorporating comprehensive sex education (CSE) into school curricula to address high rates of teen pregnancy and STDs. Geaux Talk's approach to CSE includes abstinence-based messages while also providing age-appropriate, medically accurate information. This allows parents and caregivers to select material that aligns with their family values and supports the health and well-being of their children.
We're grateful to Geaux Talk for their dedication to promoting education and health in our community!
