PACE would like to invite you and your guests to a cocktail reception to meet artist Nick Cave Friday January 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will be at the Central Art Station located at 801 Crockett St in Shreveport. Nick Cave is a world renowned artist who will be having the world premier of his new show "AS IS" at the Municipal Auditorium Sunday March 20th, 2016.
As part of the reception you will also have the opportunity to participate in a bead-a-thon and view the film "Drive By" in the engine room of Central Art Station. This film is based on a true story about gang life on the streets of Chicago, where Nick Cave currently resides.
Nick has used his talents to collaborate with the Ruth Ellis Center in Detroit, which works with at-risk gay, lesbian and transgender teens and young adults.
In his own words, Nick Cave says, "I want to be a change agent." "We're working with groups of musicians and dancers. I want to help the collective, to be an instigator. I'm trying to bring the diversity together instead of segregation, boundaries and division."
Nick's vision is very much inline with PACE so we hope you will come out and support this great artist as he works to make the world a better place for everyone to live.
